Moreover, in 2009, he was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and has visited several villages and schools in Nepal to support their education and sanitation programs. In 2010, he was presented with an Honorary Degree by the University of Kent for his contributions to the film industry in his hometown at the Canterbury Cathedral. Orlando Bloom also received the BAFTA Britannia Humanitarian Award in 2015.

In 2007, he began to date Miranda Kerr – an Australian supermodel. They got married in 2010 and had their son – Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom, on the 6th of January 2011. They sadly announced their separation and divorced in 2013. Orlando is presently dating and engaged to popular musician – Katy Perry.
